30 August 2012 12:29pm PT - Today, our house passed final inspection with the city. A minor celebration ensued. Now we get a gas meter and some final cleanup from our contractor, and we should be clear to move in by the end of next week.

Countertops! We chose Chroma “Super White” quartz for its durability and to not compete with the zebra wood cabinets. The doors & drawers should be going in this week now that the countertops are in. Almost there.

The wet bar is coming together nicely. They’re about to drill the hole in the countertop for the kegerator’s beer tower (which is laying on top of the kegerator in this pic).

Electricians still have a little work left in the low-voltage panel for Ethernet, phone, and cable. Glad I don’t have to finish off all those ends.
-
Master shower glass enclosure is in.
-
The boys bathroom plus the downstairs half bath sink (lower-right).
-
Exterior work is basically complete. Just a few more sconces to mount. All the action is inside now. More pics to come.

Today a boom truck lifted our appliances from the street level to our garage roof patio and the installers got to work. Pax approves.

Garage door & stucco from the driveway.

Bathroom tiles: white subway, hex floor tiles, and Modwall Orbit mosaic blend.
